What To Report

All reports are welcome and valuable, everything from the single animal observation to those that involve multiple animals of different species. Reports into the WHER system are monitored, however due to the volume of reporting traffic, it is unlikely that you will be contacted about your submission.

How's My Report Useful?

In near-real time it is made available to anyone interested in monitoring these events to help them detect new emerging diseases, biosecurity concerns or other problems that could affect wildlife, domestic animal and human populations. In addition, over time the value of your report grows as it becomes part of the historical record that researchers can potentially use to forecast and predict future wildlife disease occurrences.
